Week 10 of 12: shadows, light, disguises, and optical trickery
ARTISTS | Alia Shahab, Caitlind r.c. Brown, and Wayne Garrett
Alia Shahah gathered short video clips of facial features (mouths and eyes) and projected them onto an orb suspended from a tree in the back yard.
Caitlind r.c. Brown laid out a tiny landscape of eyeglass lenses – Icy, I see – inlaid into the snowy yard.
Wayne Garrett expanded on previous experiments from Week 8: MULTI-EXPOSURE, building a layered display of imperfectly mirrored objects. This time, a programmable spotlight was used to illuminate objects and create reflections in the two-way mirror, intended to continue the shape of each thing in the image reflected.
